About the item: 5 rare antique early 19th century Chinese or Japanese bronze Koi fish , c 1820. There are 4 single fish and one double example. Each is different and they are all well cast with great detail to the scales, fins etc. They have aged well with great colour and are in good condition given their age. There is some surface wear /marking and verdigris /discolouration of the metal and one fish has a loose tail which can be removed (see photographs). Size: Sizes range from 9 cm tall x 15 cm wide x 30 cm long to 13 cm tall x 6 cm wide x 15 cm long.
